Vice President of Development / SummerHill Homes
Denise Cunningham joined SummerHill in 2011, and is responsible for entitlements and design development for single family, multi-family and mixed-use projects. This includes land planning, project budget and proforma oversight, community outreach and government relations.
Ms. Cunningham has 30 years of experience in the land development and construction industry. Prior to joining Summerhill Ms. Cunningham worked in Development and Planning for KB Home and Olson Company, as well as Construction and Contract Administration for Heery International and the Tennessee Board of Regents.
As a native of Southern California Ms. Cunningham started in the private sector as a Project Manager and Expeditor in the greater Los Angeles area; working closely with local jurisdictions, home builders, developers and civil engineers to secure discretionary approvals. Ms. Cunningham also served as a Planning Commissioner for the San Ramon Valley Regional Planning Commission and earned a Distinguished Certificate in Project Management from the University of Berkeley; Extension.
